The CO of TeamUSA, Pepper, has requested that we assist TeamUSA in preparing for their upcoming match against the Team Germany by flying against TeamUSA in their practice sessions this week.

TeamUSA was sincerly impressed by TX-STS performance against TeamUSA last night.  As a member of TeamUSA, being on the "other" side of our team last night, I was able to see and experience the receiving end of my TX-STS brothers skills, discipline and coordination.  S~

Pepper was so impressed that he asked if TX-STS would function as the "Agressor" squadron for TeamUSA this week as we prepare for the German match.  The Germans are the second best national team in these competitions.  They are coordinated, dedicated and disciplined, and in Peppers view, just like TX-STS.

TeamUSA practice this week occurs at the following date/times:

Wed, Feb 16th @ 2100 EST

This Sunday (20th) about noon EST (final time will be decided by Friday) is the TUSA match.

We believe that this is a golden opportunity to train the TX-STS team, on the same map we'll have to fly on during the server wars.
No other squadrons have been so honored.

The server IP should be 69.50.182.98:21005. I will post updated information, as and if things change in this thread.

As more of the TeamUSA pilots show up for practice this week, your opposition will become tougher.

Please keep this information (the fact that we are functioning as TUSA's training opposition force, confidential and within the squadron).

Unfortunately, and sadly for me, I will have to be on the other side.  TX has had a long relationship and positive relationship with TeamUSA and I have my duties there for the upcoming National match.

I would suggest that you all print out a copy of this map and paste it next to your monitor.

Correction:Tuesday evening is a TeamUSA flight leaders conference for planning.  I have to attend.  There won't be a formal practice, so there is no need to bring the "Aggressor Squadron" at 2100.I'm awaiting confirmation of Friday and Saturdays schedule.Hope to see you all there on Wednesday, kicking my butt!Black 2 TX Flight Leader"In a match, the pilot who kills only one enemy and lands safely is priceless beyond measure, while the pilot who kills two and dies once is almost worthless, as he has lost a plane, a pilot and forsaken his wingman"

I'll print these off tomorrow at work, thanks for posting them Gun. TX will definately benefit from the role as aggressor squadron and I'd like to thank you for proposing the idea to TUSA. I myself have flown in 2 of the scrims and enjoyed them very much. Because of my association with them, TUSA is definately an outfit I'd be proud to support. Zen

well it's 0100 (5PM PST) and there's just me and a platform extending horizontally from one side of a ship to the other, or a platform or surface likened to a ship's deck or a roofless, floored structure, typically with a railing, that adjoins a house. S~ TX-STSWednesday nites "scim" looked very well from the "other side" on TeamUSA.  My TX-STS brothers fought a great and gallant fight, heavily outnumbered by our traditional and hated enemies, SPITFIRES and YAKS!We really missed our TX-STS pilots who did not or could not make it.Although the "real world" is the obvious priorty and I certainly understand how difficult it is to make time for these things, I'd ask each of you to please make the utmost effort to show up on Friday and Saturday.  After that it will slow down a bit.  Thank you all for showing up!S~Black 2 TX Flight Leader"In a match, the pilot who kills only one enemy and lands safely is priceless beyond measure, while the pilot who kills two and dies once is almost worthless, as he has lost a plane, a pilot and forsaken his wingman"

I was definately not in the groove last night gentlemen and for that I apologze, but I will say that for our part we did what I expected to do which was assist TUSA in their training. I also didn't realize that we were outnumbered nor that the majority of enemy AC were Yaks and La's, I should have paid more attention and devised a better plan. All things considered I was pleased with our initial formup and move out, we were cohesive enough to be effective and operated with excellent altitude discipline. Comms were disciplined and I was happy with the formation and how we operated. Again excuse my absent mindedness, for some reason I wasn't entirely in the moment and wasn't focused enough for my own satisfaction. You guys did well under the circumstances and for that I thank you. Zen

I did see something that I should have eliminated. . . that was this lone high contact buzzing around rather aimlessly, or so it looked. . . turns out that was the U2, err Ta of a dastardly recon man by the name of Gunslinger. . .We did get wheels up well after them also, but gunslinger came in late, it goes to demonstrate that a single guy can get high altitude *and* to our side of the map if we take too long getting situated and wait for the enemey to make the first move. I have some thoughts that I will share on coms.S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX-Squadron XO

HehHehHeh...Well, you know, I was just trying out that "seeing if you could identify me by my TX flight style thing"  you always tell me about.  Of course, you would have had some difficulty there, seeing as I did'nt have a wingman, and to be flying in perfect TX-Flight style, I should have had a wingman :)You have to get up pretty early in the morning to fool the old Emu.....and throw in a twist or to.Luckily for me, my UberIINXT installation took longer than I'd planned so I did'nt make it to the Red side on time!I spent today, after seeing your post, scheming ways to complete the "Forward are recon" mission without you noticing.......By the way, I hit 12, 000 for a bit last nite and did'nt have my trim totally maxed out after I did make it to the scrim.I've been fortunate to have such an outstanding teacher...and to wing for absolutely the best, virtual pilot in the sim.S~ Black1Black 2 TX Flight Leader"In a match, the pilot who kills only one enemy and lands safely is priceless beyond measure, while the pilot who kills two and dies once is almost worthless, as he has lost a plane, a pilot and forsaken his wingman"
