I know it was mentioned in a post past, but I could not find it to use as a reference so here it is again. The Galveston Spring Airshow is coming up the weekend of April 23rd. I think I read that there will be several military demo teams there this year...as well as the flying aircraft that the museum plans on putting up in the air. I am not sure if the B-17 will be there or if she is out of town as was last time, but we ought to expect a good show. With the weather really getting nice down here on the coast it ought to be a good chance for us to get together and see if we can have the "Excuse me, but do you guys fly IL2 online?" question pop up again as happened the first time we hooked up at the Houston Airshow! LW_Tornado has already expressed an interest in possibly making the trip down from the Dallas area, as has TX-Rahman and his family already made plans to attend. I will be there with TX-CudaJR as well as my girlfriend. I plan on taking some good pics and movies for those that are too far away to make the trip. I also was thinking that if enough of Ya'll are going to head down to Galveston...you could stop by my place on the way back to Houston and parts unknown for some BBQ and whatever.....

...lets start working on getting a head count of the people that might consider heading down to the coast for a good airshow and some better comraderie!(sp)....

Rahman, I wan't sure when Ya'll were heading down there so I took Eric and a friend there this afternoon. Took some good pictures as well as some movies with the camera. All in all it looked to be better than the last time I was there. Be sure to go into the hangar and check out the Liberator that is being restored. Right next to it are the P-38 and the A-20. I was talking to some of the hands there and found that the A-20 that is there is one of only 3 or 4 that are still around. This one is the only one that is still flyable as the other one was lost last year.TX-CudaMinister of Information
