April 17,1943

...We had a tough mission ahead of us.My flight crew and I had been flying several sorties a day for the last month or so as the weather has finally given us the chance to take the battle to the Russians.Supplies to the field are getting hard to come by. We very rarely have the chance to eat well....so I took matters into my own hands. I have always though that a happy crew flies and shoots better than a hungry crew.
I sent the mess attendents out with my weapon to procure some fresh meat...and by the gods they came back with something!!

....of course I had to use the temperature guage that I took off the engine manifold  of that volunteer pilot that was from the United States..

...the ground crew left not much to be had of the pig that the men brought back...however they did leave me this loin to cook for my crew..

...My Tail Gunner is a Saint!! Here are the Yard Birds that he was able to procure from the peasants that are cooperating with us....

...My loyal Crew, I pray that this will be a good enough meal to sustain you as we go into battle once again..

...the ckickens as they are called are drunk. I hope that they give us the strength to fly well..

...My faithful crew....I Salute You as we prepare for battle. I have the stein that was presented to my by Herr General Hauptman filled with the friuts of the homeland as I prepare the meal for our possibly last flight. Eat well...have a drink from the stein...and pray for the homeland!!

....of course under my flight suit I have a shirt that will help us get through the enemy lines. "Kemah Police" are a joke and the locals know this. SInce I have this shirt under my flight suit it may help us to get through the lines if we are shot down...

....so my friends that I have flown with all these years. Eat well, have a drink and rest as we will be flying for the reich this night. Be assured that you will die if need with a full stomach....and I doubt the pilot that gets will be so fortunate!!

I have moved the pit back to my house and put it right next to the deck by the pool in the back yard. Warm weather is just around the corner so I'll be cooking up some new stuff in the very near future!TX-CudaMinister of Information
