Just an idea...  I would like to get an idea on how many folks out there would possibly like to hit a larger airshow next year as a group...  Something like Oshkosh?  The wife and I have been talking about this for a while and think it would be the perfect opportunity for us all to get together.  This would include TX as well as non-TX folks who are part of the IL2 community...would be great to meet alot of you all face to face...  Even though I haven't been in game much lately..

TX-RAH

Would you go to one of the larger Airshows such as Oshkosh if we decided to make it an IL2 Community event? (Vote and post a reply so we will know who voted.)

OK, I'm confused (as usual)...  Are we talking Oskosh in a couple weeks, or Oskosh next year... or both?I for one would like the opportunity to meet you guys.  Can't make it this year though... If it was a couple months later I probably could...  Although my boss might not like it--as he enjoys keeping my nose to the grindstone--we're very understaffed where I work.  The last two days I worked straight (40 hours) with no sleep.  My younger bro and dad were going to go to Oskosh this year, but cancelled their trip.My plans are to win the Texas State Lottery by next year, so I won't have to arrange my schedule around my boss'.  TX-ScubaSteveWhite 4

Steve,             I was hoping to go this year....  But if TX'rs can't make it I won't either.  If we end up not going this year maybe we could go next.  I just pledged not to go to the "Wings Over Houston" this year.  The same thing every year and last year they never opened the WarBird ramp the day I went so we were unable to look at the old birds.                If I don't go to Oshkosh...I'll be looking for another show to go to this season with a good number of old warbirds... P.S.  I plan to win the TX lotto this year as well... Regards,TX-Rahman"BLACK 4"

One thing nice about going to Oskosh this year is that Cessna has a surprise--an airplane that they've kept "hush-hush" about, and as far as I know has not been reported to any media outlets...  I don't think it's anything revolutionary though--just something different for them.TX-ScubaSteveWhite 4

I have to agree with Herr Rahman, the airshows here in the Houston/Galveston area are usually the same ol...same ol....BUT, I might be up for a trip to OshKosh next year or perhaps another one that might not be so big but one that has lots of warbirds. TX-CudaMinister of Information

I'm sure Brett wouldn't mind me speaking for him, when I say that I'm sure he'd be more than happy to give us all free rides in his Extra 300 (or at least for as long as we can hang on to the cowling)...TX-ScubaSteveWhite 4
