Congratulations to Team USA in their victory against the Russian team!

I was brought in to Team USA for this match, of course TX-Gunslinger is a long time TUSA member, as well as many of our friends. I have to say TUSA had planned this match well, every night they were on to practice, they flew the plan, they reworked the plan as we saw what could be done better, this morning we flew the plan, and we defeated the opposition. Of course things don't always go to plan, and they didn't quite today, but that was part of the plan. . . so I guess it did in fact go to plan! To the members of TUSA I want to say that I was impressed with all the work you have put into this, and that I applaud you for constructing an excellent battle plan, practicing it enough to ensure everyone knew their role well. When it was crunch time, despite finding out in the minutes before game time that a couple pilots couldn't make it, re-assigning roles, and overcoming a numerical disadvantage, you flew it like you planned and practiced it, and it was a great sight to behold. Team play and organization is, I think, the highest level of difficulty there is in this sim, and TUSA pulled it off as well as I've ever seen! I am so happy to have been a part of this!

Team USA holds the Russian Team in the highest regard, to compete against them was our honor, and we appreciate their sportsmanship and excellent gameplay as always. The Russian team is one, or probably the most respected groups of pilots in IL-2, and they are no doubt an excellent bunch.

TX Squadron Salutes both teams, excellent work gentlemen!

P.S. to TX-Gunslinger:

Your efforts within Team USA are clear, it's obvious that your attention to detail and insight with respect to battle planning as well as your role in recon for TUSA has been a great asset to them, and I am proud of you for all of your efforts within that group. Your efforts were made all that much more clear to me this past week that I've been flying with you guys. I applaud you, and hereby award you an XO Commendation for your contribution to Team USA and your excellent contribution to the representation of our nation in this international battle.

Salute Team USA. . . Salute Team Russia! You fought with honor!
