Folks, many of you may not have been around back when ScubaSteve was flying with TX, he was around waaay back in the day. He joined before me actually, even though I flew with him a lot, and of course with TX a lot. . . he is the guy who many of you may know through his map series entitled "Russkie Bush Pilots ATTACK!!!" I knew him back before I'd ever flown a 109. . . I was flying the Yak 9K back then, as was Steve, using his Bird of Paradise skin. We used to have some crazy dogfights down on the deck. . .he is also one of the only people I've ever seen accurately fire a yak9K from 1.5 kilometers away! I thought I was fine. . . then one big fat 45 mm round came up and took my wing, I looked down and has 1.5 below me. . . flying with him was more fun than against, for perhaps obvious reasons!  :-D

I'm really glad to have him back, he still needs to get AEP and PF to fly with us, but we had him on TeamSpeak tonight, I look forward to flying with ya again!

Welcome back ScubaSteve!

I also remember the Ruskie Bush Pilots ATTACK map and the fun we had back then. Sure was good for me to be able to get on comms once again and to hear Steve back on there was a real treat! I also have to thank Eco for assisting me with some config troubles i was having with the joystick. Besides my not remembering how o recover from several spins last night the planes handled alsmost like I remember them! I'll be flying lots more now that I can almost control the darn things again.RockyTX-CudaMinister of Information

Thanks guys for the welcome back.  It's been good seeing my IL-2 buddies are still around!Yeah Eco, you got me hooked on that Yak 9K.  That shot was definitely a lucky one... either that or you intentionally flew into that lone round, just to encourage me a little; or someone forgot to put enough rivets in your wing spar to handle the g's you pull in all your tricky aerobatics. It was nice talking to you too Cuda last night... and thanks for the welcome too, Rahman.I just ordered me-self AEP and PF...  Maybe I can set up a map around the island I grew up on--if it exists on there...

Hey Tornado!  Good to see you're still around too!  Those air-races were a trip... a trail of fires at night... Think CUDA made those maps--a lot of fun.  Forgot about the fish scale skin plane... I must have been "high" back then or something!  Looking forward to seeing you in the IL-2 skies sometime soon... need a lot of practice in the mean time.  How do you get the engine started anyway?

Just because you dusted off and polished up my old callsign "White 4" doesn't make it "new", Eco... Smiley  I just realized that was my original callsign when I looked at an old post of mine... Smiley  Oh, and thanks for the tip on getting the engine started... Wink  Now... what does this here button do....S!White 4
