The wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas... Of course, I want something for the cockpit... I've always wanted a buttkicker. I use headphones 100% of the time now since we had my son. I would like to still have bass without creating a bunch of noise. Enter...The Buttkicker Gamer. Neat smaller version of their linear motor vibration maker with a 100 watt power amp. Flightsim.com has em on sale for $99.99... The wife is ordering one today for me...w00t!! Check out the links below... The bottom link is a review by the folks at flightsim.com. Check it out.

Ok...have had it hooked up for a few days now...I'll try to take pics and post them later tonight for you all.My initial impresssions: Because I mounted it on the wooden cockpit, I had a good amount of noise from the wood vibrating. The seat itself rests on a metal pole on the back end and a piece of wood on the front end. With some of the larger gunshots such as the mk108....the wood no wood sound was really loud. I fixed this by going to home depot and getting some pipe insulation and placing it around the pipe and no the front where there was wood on wood. With the design of the cockpit being so tight with wood being so close together it would be hard to totally kill the wood on wood noise. I did buy some weather stripping and am attempting to use that to dampen the noise. It has been very successful thus far!I've flown with the buttkicker, played CoD, WWIIOnline, and have listened to music with it all with headphones. Using this actually helps you to feel like your in the plane more than just without it. I actually feel the huge engine on the nose of the plane without having the wife yell at me because of all the bass! The vibrations from the device are pretty intense! All you folks who use office chairs would greatly benefit from this device without having the wood on wood problems I'm having.... Helps greatly with immersion... With FS2004 I can actually feel the gear retract as you would in the real planes!!I'll post pics tonight!!Regards,TX-Rahman"BLACK 4"
