Recently, my TrackIR software started taking about five minutes to load, in the mean time my CPU is up at 100% usage, and if I am loading anything else, like IL-2, my machine hangs. Turns out my IL-2 profile is 718 kb in size, while all of the others are 2 kb. Removing my IL-2 profile solves the problem. This got me wondering what was making the IL-2 profile so big.
The content of that profile was filled with a repeating string that is missing from the others. The string repeats itrself 13,823 times!

It seems there are others experiencing this same thing with TrackIR 3 and 4. I'm guessing this is a softwre bu that will be fixed soon, in the mean time, it seems like it might be smart to back-up your profiles while they are still 2kb just in case they blow up to 718 kb!

Speaking of which, I just sent my profile to Rahman. . . please check the file size Rah.

I opened the xml file in Microsoft FrontPage and deleted all repeats of that string, and now the file is back to being two kb.
