Squawkbox4 is in beta phase and will be released hopefully soon, you can however currently use FSInn.

I've been using FSInn 1.2 for a couple weeks now and love it!  There's tons of features that SB just doesn't have.  I really like the built in radar scope and the enhanced weather options.  I also love the mini control panel that doesn't take up much space on the screen.  Very nice.  There's alot more than that in the package but those are the main things I like about it.  Oh, forgot to mention...the ability to make anyone flying a MetroAir plane show up with the correct skin on their planes!  Just that feature alone is worth the switch I believe... I just tried FSInn, and after losing all aircraft textures, and greatly reduced frame rates and stuttering, I uninstalled it... but now Teamspeak doesn't work--get some error about not having the correct driver. (sigh)***EDIT*** I've also now noticed that parts of the terrain and water are pixelated, frame rates are still horrible, and water landings are impossible as the amphibian and seaplane simply bounce up and down on the water (even at standstill) until a splash is detected.  Landing a helicopter on a boat is now impossible, as the boats vibrate vertically now too.I tried deleting all references to FSInn from my registry, but still no luck.  Guess I'll have to re-install FSX (again).  [Had to re-install Teamspeak; though I think all it really took was simply deleting the configuration files].TX-ScubaSteveWhite 4

Yikes Steve. . .I've actualy noticed some decrease in texture quality after SP1. Now I can max out most settings, and it doesn't hit my fps, but it doesn't look near as good as before on my machine.I didn't install it to a fresh copy of FSX. . .which is going to be a lot of work that I haven't yet wanted to undertake. Did you install FSInn after SP1 or before?S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX-Squadron XO

I just installed FSInn a couple nights ago... installed SP1 soon after it came out... so, yes, I installed FSInn AFTER SP1.  I've actually installed SP1 twice... with two fresh installs... but honestly, I'm not convinced it was necessary to do a fresh re-install to get SP1 on--just so long as the fsx.cfg file is deleted at some point. In fact that's what I've done this time, and now FSX seems to be running more normally... except that I still get jumpy vehicles on the water when the texture resolution is set to 7cm.  Right now I have it set at 1m, and it seems to run ok now... but it still bothers me that FSInn twisted my FSX so badly--even after it was uninstalled.  I'm also now getting stutters like I had before SP1.  I'm pretty sure I had texture settings at 7cm last time I tried water operations... but I can't remember for sure.  In any case, the aircraft textures would go missing half the time (even after uninstallation)...  At least after deleting the fsx.cfg file, and forcing FSX to recreate a new one... the major problems have dissapeared.Someone on one of the FSInn forums suggested re-installing .NET Framework, (for an unrelated problem with FSInn) but not sure how to do that, or how that would have anything to do with anything; but makes me nervous about just to what extent FSInn might have replaced/corruped my system files.I thought I was able to max out all my settings after SP1 (except for lens flare, light bloom, and traffic); but after flying in the alps, I realized I couldn't get keep my autogen density maxed out and keep frame rates near 30fps.TX-ScubaSteveWhite 4

Damn...I missed this!  I'll start watching here more closely...  Of course anyone who wants to fly commercially could join the VA I belong to.  www.metroairvirtual.com   Regards,TX-Rahman"BLACK 4"
