Well, I got screwed...  Just received the Matrox TripleHead2Go adapter today.  I can run all three of my monitors just fine now with just my one video card (a PCIe ATI Radeon X800XL).However, I just discovered that the maximum resolution I can run in full 3D mode is 1920x480...  In other words each monitor is running at 640x480 (VGA)!  Flying IL-2 looks a little more interesting... but I'm VERY dissapointed that I can't get the full use of my card's resolution capability... Apparently ATI has refused to cooperate with Matrox, where as Nvidia has, and thus has no such limitations.  Now that I've revisited Matrox's website, I realize that this limitation was in the fine print--all I had read earlier was that my video card was compatible. And now, I can't get Microsoft Flight Simulator X to run at all; it simply gives me a message saying that my video card is incompatible.I tried visiting Matrox's support forum, but even though it was there last night, it's not there anymore. So, I think I just wasted a good $260 for nothing...TX-ScubaSteveWhite 4

There's a 20% restocking fee return policy.  15% restocking fee if the unit is defective.I did find out though that Matrox has disbanded their user support forum for good, which is not encouraging...  So, I've gotten no help there.Technical support has not responded to me yet either, although I didn't expect them to this weekend.I found that I could actually get a higher res on IL-2 (than the ATI limitation of 1920x480), simply by editing the configuration file.  However, a resolution of 3072x768 really drains my frame rates to unacceptable levels.  Editing the configuration file on FSX had no effect.I soon discovered that when I ran dxdiag... it reported that I had no Direct3D or any 3D acceleration... That explained why FSX complained.  I guess the only reason IL-2 worked was because it's configured to use OpenGL?By lowering my desktop resolution from 3072x768 to a standard 1024x768, my desktop only appears on my center monitor, (the other two turn off) and sure enough, I now had Direct3D again.  By setting FSX configuration file to "widescreen" and 1920x480 resolution, (I tried 3072x768, but it would only display 1920x480) FSX launched just fine, and activated the two other monitors.  The frame rates at this low resolution are good... and it's nice to have a wider angle of view... but the resolution is so low, that the instrumentation is unreadable at normal zoom, and quite frankly the graphics in general look horrible!I still can't get Battlefield2 and other games to play even on just one monitor.  My monitor gives me a message saying frequency out of range, even though it was the exact same monitor I used to play the game on in the first place.  The only way I can play Battlefield2, 2142 now... is to unplug the matrox triplehead2go, and plug the same monitor directly into my video card.  For some reason TH2G seems to reduce my monitors ability to handle refresh frequencies it normally could handle.I'd consider buying an Nvidia card, and selling my 256MB PCIe ATI X800XL (anyone interested)?  Then again, I like to be able to play games that don't require me crawling under the desk and switching cables around every time I want to play something different; (and it's dark down there with lots of scary looking cables) and am not sure an Nvidia card would fix that for me...But with that all said... anyone have any recommendations for a good Nvidia card?  Anyone interested in playing with my TH2G?  I wouldn't want to part with it for much less than $200 though, as I can get more than that if I bite the restocking fee.  Plus, I'm really not sure I'd recommend this to anyone anyway.  How's that for a sales pitch?!  I suppose if you had an Nvidia card with oodles of power to run 3 monitors at a decent resolution, it could be fun--especially when combined with TrackIR.I guess it annoyed me that performance differs from the review on FlightSim.com which stated that TH2G barely drops your frame rates.  But, thinking about it logically... If you expect to maintain the same clarity you had on one monitor, your video card's workload is going to tripple if you maintain that resolution on 3 monitors.OK... I'm done ranting...S!TX-ScubaSteveWhite 4
