Just in case anyone is upgrading and wondering who to sell their old PC3200 DDR400 to, or their atx powersupply or thier audigy soundcard, or their case, I'm interested!

I've gotten a PIV 3.0 HT plugged into an Epox 4PDA3 motherboard, but can't use anything out of my proprietary Dell from 2001 so I'm triyng to piece together a system, I don't actually know that this CPU and mobo even work, but I've got my fingers crossed.

Sorry Eco... I just gave away the audigy2 card to a friend awhile back.  Have some ram laying around in my closet but it's old stuff--with slow bus speeds and doubtful it would fit your motherboard's architecture anyway...I have two 32MB each Samsung SIMM-72 sticks (KMM5321000CVG) which used to be in my old 486--I paid a freakin' bunch of money for those things too when they were new back in '95.  Guess that's one reason I haven't thrown them away yet... maybe they'll become a collectors item? I also have 2 sticks of 256MB each Samsung PC800 RDRAM RIMMs (MR16R082GBN1-CK8)Sorry can't help you much there Eco.TX-ScubaSteveWhite 4

Hey guys! Steve, thanks but I've already got a Gigs worth of PC800. . .it's the reason I'm asking for some PC3200. . .I can't use it to test this board and CP out. . . let alone build up a machine to carry me through another year. What is really interesting is how expensive it still is. It's like 600 to get two gigs. Rahman, that's awesome news if you've got an old case and PSU, what kind? Let me know what you need for them, and the shipping, and I'll probably take em. Lets see. . .do most atx mobos fit most cases? The site lists that it's this size: ATX (305mm x 225mm)I suppose if I get the system up and running I could also use a better video card, something with 256 of ram would be nice, so I'll add that to the list. Thanks guys!S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX-Squadron XO

Awesome! Thanks a bunch guys! I think most of us have been away more than we'd like Razor, I sure miss flying with you guys.I've done a little flying with TUSA, just enough to remember what controls where bound to what and sort of how to fly, and then compete against the greeks, but nothing else, and my machine has been really acting up so I've been more focused on backing stuff up and preparing for the inevitable crash and burn. I had to buy a new DVD burner, as it turns out I was, without fully undertanding it, an early adopter of DVD burners, so mine could only burn DVD+RW at a little over 1x speeds. Funny the drive was something like 200.00 extra when I got it, and it's been practically useless other than for a few rewritable DVDs I've made. Oh well. . .I guess that's the nature of the computer hardware beast. My joystick is on it's last leg too. . I'm a little harsh on sticks and pedals flying aerobatics and such. The other day I tried rFactor at Sammie's with his wheel and pedals and all. . .then I finally got to see a Cougar in person, two in fact, one stock and one with the force sensor mod. . .sheesh, so many peripherals needed so little cash. HeheI've sent you an email Razor. Thanks again!S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX-Squadron XO

Eco...When I send the case and power supply...I'll also drop the Cougar that Cage bestowed upon me into the box.  I'm not using it and you would get alot more use out of it.  The only problem with it is the throttle arm is broken.  It arrived that way when Cage sent it to me.  The piece is plastic and I would have to imagine that it's available as a replacement part since it's probably one of the only plastic parts on a Cougar.I did have a problem with dirty pots on the stick so I took the pots apart and cleaned them with contact cleaner that was safe for plastic.  You may have to clean them again.  You will use the hell out of it.  It's just sitting under my futon.  I shouldn't hog it for no good reason when a TX brother could use it.  You will receive it free of charge...just pay shipping. I have a 128 meg graphics card if you want it. Laughable to even consider it, but if you want something to, at a minimum, get you going for now let me know. I also have a track IR 2... Sounds like two white elephants.

Well, Rahman. . .I've seen a pretty good deal on the Antec P180, but if you've got a case, and it's in the soon to be trash pile, I'll just take it.  .  . no need for me to be wasteful. Any idea on the model? Also, any idea on the rating of the PSU? I'm not sure this will end up leaving me with much of an upgrade for the beast that is FSX, but every little bit helps, and if I can find a 256 meg video card that should at least get me a couple fps in FSX, and probably pretty good performance in IL-2.Razor, thanks, I've just replied to the email, 2-four sticks of 1-2gigs of matched 184 pin pc3200 for dual channel mobo is gonna be all I need unless you've got a video card to sell or a socket 478 PIV heatsink/fan.Thanks again guys, send me your addys and the costs and I'll get you a check ASAP.S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX-Squadron XO

Well it looks like I have the P4 heatsink ya need too...its a factory intel 4 wire thermal controlled cpu fan.I think it has a copper core too...was wondering what kind of vid card do you already have? I may be upgrading soon i found a great deal on a PCI-Express card for my newest gaming PC.I will email ya about the DDR, I would feel better sending it to ya if i could test the stuff and make sure its kosher. Is a 128Mb ATI 9600XT AIW a decent enough card to play FSX? i am checking my hotmail account after i post this to see if you have sent any more info.Blue4/White7?TX-Razor  over and Out!
