Mastery of the ABRIS - AMMS (Advanced Moving Map System) is I suspect, will be one of the key's to wringing the most effectiveness from a coordinated group of Ka-50's in the future.

I'm extremely impressed with the level of detail simulated in this TACSIT/TAC Data Link - it feels, acts and has fuctionality along the lines of USN NTDS + more modern tactical data links, with associated NAV functionality.

Anyway, wanted to start a thread dedicated to the AMMS with pics.. perhaps together we can create a better control scheme and integration of this functionality -

SUBMODE = NAV

SUBMODE = ARC

SUBMODE = HSI

SUBMODE = MENU

SUBMODE = MENU/PLAN
Route planning (and sharing)

I might buy a copy of the manual. I'm interested in the data link between wingmen. Maybe Gunny can give a talk on that system.TX-Kingsnake

Or at least print it out. . .there's a handy user created keycard too. Most of these things I've posted links to in this forum. The Keycard is a good way to get a lot of info on one sheet of paper, the key commands list is 9 pages long - but essential to print I think.S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX-Squadron XO

Yeah, I think the PVI-800 is a big thing to learn also. . .and the datalink should be very useful too I'd imagine. I'm only just starting to understand the first thing about the PVI-800 and the nav side of the autopilot.S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX-Squadron XO
