OK  this probably should be in troubleshooting, but I thought I might find a solution faster here. When I try to login I get file size error on the mission
saya  Mission loading error  index 363 size 363. im baffled at why this is happening. This isnt because of the 1.2 VO patch versus regular 1.2 version is it?  Im running  1.2  not 1.2 VO. thanks for any help.

S~ Moooby,Are you able to get into the server at all or does this error only happen occasionally? When the TX-OC3 script is cycling missions people are not usually able to connect until a few minutes have passed. There are also a couple of other issues that we are working on which may be related to your problem. Let me know more and we'll take it from there. S~TX-Zen"Black 6"TX Squadron CO

S~ Zen Just logged in and it is working fine now. BTW I did consider that script possibly cycling when I was trying to load the mission, but I tried steadily for about 10 minutes to no avail. BTW  big S~ for no plane icons, now I can attempt some Stuka work : )

Just saw the same thing happen for the fifth time in 3 days. The server says " Stand by for a weather change "...locks up..boots everyone and when you try to get back in loads up to 90% and gives that error and boots you again.TX-BlackKnightBlack2

We have been looking into this error. I can not find a list of errors for IL2 that would help troubleshoot this. I tested the weather cycle script with EcoDragon and the missions cycle the weather without a problem. I have revised the script from 260 lines to 35 lines. This should make it easier to troubleshoot. The TX server hosts more players on a daily basis than the game may have been tested and designed for. We are bound to encounter bugs and push the limits of the game. The dedicated TX server runs (in theory) 24/7. This means that there are equal hours of daylight and darkness. Since we don't want to fly in the dark as often as we fly in the day, we run a script to correct for time. The scripting also does a few other things, making it moderately complex to coordinate load times for 25 players etc. If any one knows what error size 363 is or knows of a link to troubleshooting for IL2 servers. Post it.Regards,TX-KingsnakeWhite 1

Flying in air combat situations without wingmen makes for a short career:P

I agree, no wingman = early end to career. TX is all about teamwork and helping to increase the spirit of cooperation in the community. We run the server as a team vs team concept which is why we encourage bomber attacks on the bases...some call it vulching but that is not our intent. I generally find that if the threat of getting strafed on the ground is present that it tends to increase the level of teamwork among players who might not otherwise have a reason to be talking to each other. People fly combat air patrol, do fighter sweeps, organize large bomber attacks and generally seem to have a collective purpose out on our server, which is great. The high noon mass dogfights where you are endlessly respawning and not checking your 6 got a bit tiring for us, so we decided to try a different spin in the interest of teamwork. I have to say that I prefer a more mission oriented style of fighting and we have done alright with that on the TX server. We change the settings around every so often, sometimes full real, sometimes superman view is in effect so that many types of players can enjoy what we have put together, the server is for the UBI community and we really enjoy seeing everyone there each night. We are looking into the error message, we think that it may be related to the script that Kingsnake has created and that IL2 does not appear to be designed to run for days on end. As you have seen the OC3 stays up for days at a time which perhaps is part of the problem. We have seen some very interesting glitches appear on the server from time to time and have been able to resolve most of them, I am sure that some of the other problems will be resolved if and when the console version of the game comes out, hopefully with forgotten battles. The script that Kingsnake developed does some very cool things and we are quite happy with it, I am hoping that we can work through the current issue and continue to use it. In the meantime, we are still hammering away at the problem and doing a variety of testing. We'll keep you guys updated on how things are going and thanks again very much for your interest in the server. We put it out there for you, and are working to keep it running as close to 24/7 as we can. SaluteTX-Zen"Black 6"TX Squadron CO

I noticed yesterday that Icons were on  which isn't big deal to me, but the one and only thing I reall dislike about icons is when I try to make a IL2 or Stuka run it seems nearly impossible to "Sneak" around anywhere. It would be a great feature to be able to disable Icons for gound attack specific aircraft such as the JU87 and IL2S~
