That's even better news than what I posted here...

I didn't see the release date in the SIMHQ review - April - wow!!!!!
I always respected Viks - always. He got such a bad rap years ago, for what I believe was was his superior knowlege of the "game", with the 109 prop pitch tweak. I don't think it ever occured to him that he'd be accused of being a "cheater" because he figured out how to "blip" the prop pitch.
Viks and Storm win the world pairs championship - and get treated as if they are baseball players on steriods. It's such a lesson in "interpretation of gray areas" and how public
FB dominates every competition they enter (except for one

), but the "cheater" accusations continue to be thrown by western forums at them. I think the anti FB sentiment was even greater on the German forums.
So, they drop out of Il2, for the most part - and create a world-class simulation from a different era. This guy is a virtual pilot, like us - and he's just pulled off a far better simulation (at least thats' how it's looking to me) than Microsoft ever thought of.
It's threaded - so now everyone's multi-core processors will produce the kind of performance that they paid for. It will be so interesting to see the benchmarks from this code.
A WWI sim, produced by a passionate virtual pilot, from Russia - is probably going to be the "flagship" simulator.
That's about as cool as you can get!
Can't wait...
