Intel’s Core i7-975 & 950: Preparing for Lynnfield
http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=3574

Intel is supposedly about to discontinue the i7 line other than the $1,000 975 Extreme(ly stupid), and given previous reports that they plan to release a 6 core Socket 1366, it seems like the X58 will be limited to the "enthusiast" price point. . .not a good sign for those waiting for i7 systems to lower in price, and this Lynnfield followup seems a little underwhelming other than the interesting Turbo Mode results which should make for the non-computer savvy folks who run at stock clocks happy as the CPU will OC itself when additional cores aren't used and the power is needed.
