I've been spending most of my non-beta free time in career mode.  Success at combat flight simulation is always an "uphill" learning curve for me personally.  I find if I complain less, and actually focus on improving my own personal combat and flying skills - I'm happier.

A little progress goes a long way with me.....  I suppose I'm trying to prepare myself better for the next few ROF patches - which I know will completely change online accessbility and functionality.

It's amazing what you can do with one of the more unpopular aircraft if you don't listen to "forum logic".

Single player is where this game stands for the moment.

Not really, but then maybe if you'd take a look at it again - you'd might find that it's more Net-King friendly - I don't know.

Neoqb has announced that the next patch will provide all sorts of things related to online play.

The thing I'd be worried about (if I just quit flying ROF) is that by the time the online is perfect - the rest of the world will have obtained month's of flying/fighting experience with it.  This thing is hard and the mastery curve is steep.  I think we "mere mortals" in this Squad sometimes normalize (take for granted) Eco's expertise.

Until I can reliably and safely develop an inverted spin and consistenly recover from it, in all the aircraft that will do it I won't be satisfied.  Until I can make the 50 meter convergence shot on bounce at 95% of true Vmax I won't stop trying.

The more I fly and fight in these aircraft - the more I can see the exponential increase in difficulty and potential reward of mastery in this sim versus Il2.

The Camel and Triplane, may not be perfect to R/L - but they are extremely challenging and rewarding to fly.  I never imagined such complexity even last year.

Hope you give it another try,

S~
