Great to see some work done !!! and fast
I'm testing something about the textures in the new patch and the one from kegetys..
Placing lower setting in the new patch make the texture pretty wash at lower or medium settings out but ........

I think i'm getting a great result by mixing the texture mod of kegetys with the new patch.. i mean i do have the same FPS but with a better texture detail with kegetys's ..

Try plz and compare ! I maybe just umaginating this morning! Need my coffee!
Anyway this is a great path for teh Sim as long as they keep the realism ( for the realism setting )
Next step will be the awaited SLI patch !

More fps we can get better we will feel the aircraft and less slugish..
I do have some trouble with controls.. lags on reaction like  throttle, mix etc or getting stuck!  weird..

patching now and gonna try. . .last night it was just annoying, TrackIR kep looking at the seat pan, plane flew like shit, fps were poo, I just didn't have the patience for that much fuss all at once last night, and then ran outa time! I'm fresh now though, and have till 430 or so PST then I'm playing Soccer. . .

Yes We went to the frustration ourself or me at list on all point you mentioned and more .. Hehehe
At first FPS were sooo bad and everything was soo sluggish that made impossible to run at native or even close to native rez.. I can now but you want to go to 1680x1050 in case it's not enough which as of today it is possible to do, The patch fix a lots of good but interestingly i'm still using the texture mod even with the new patch it make me the same fps but with better textures.  My Control in full more are laggy  or stuck that make hard to fly correctly atm and I need to find some way to controls map my stuffs better .. missing some wheel axis.. Now .. Aircraft slughish yeas .. Grr!
The views are a bit off and not regular from one plane to an other ( HATE THAT )
At list now with the patch i'll be able to fly with some good FPS that i will be able to see how the aircraft are..
Beside this there are some great effects that are very promising..... i want the SDK..................

OMFG I just want to fly this #@$ing sim already. . .what does it take to host a mission, and actually get inside an airplane that I selected, I mean, I select blue army, and 109e was the plane listed, but I'm looking at spitfires exploding as I spawn, no 109, no cockpits, nothing. . .

then the sim crashes, then I try all over again, same, same, same, crash, crash, OK fine I'l try something else, let's see. . .are there any single missions where I start ont eh ground. . .hmm. .. no, but there's a freeflight over the channel, I don't really wanna do that. . .crash. . .ugh

WTF what happen to the brain? lol.. Yes just look at Quick Mission or campaign or go into Extas you'll fine the same Mission builder as IL2 .. So how is it running? controls ok ? E8400 Rez? FPS? settings?

We wil have to go online with you and Gunny  for now to check it out  but me with my radiator that will open after i press the button 10 times and my mixture that do the same..

Btw when the aircraft start i wish they would make the plane more heavy/compressions to turn not like starting a  RC plane.. same with stopping engine
