Thanks for the heads up!

Then again "Microsoft Flight is the company’s new flight simulator that is a bit less simulator and streamlined to be a bit more game." pretty much means I don't give a....

I can't tell yet. There will be another civil flight simulator for me. FSX still has utility certainly for IFR flying and there is so much scenery for VFR. I thought it was a bad move by MS to kill the studio because the talent is gone and it was profitable so there are no excuses. Most people see a brand and they think there is quality coming from a logo but it comes down to people with skills not the logo. Remember Infinity Ward made the original Call of Duty for Activision then Activision executives got an arrogant and egotistical power trip against the talent and fired Infinity Ward. Call of Duty has become a logo without the skilled people making it. It too has gone from being a simulator to a game. Not exactly in those terms but look at Call of Duty now. I am now less interested in getting MS Flight.

Under consideration for me are two civil simulators which look promising. Meanwhile FSX just keeps going and going. I imagine community modding will keep FSX in use for the next 3-5 years. That is a really long forecast but FS2009 is still in use for the add-ons.

PMDG opinion

I also read this comment "... Flight has no ATC, no AI traffic, no radio navigation nor radio communication, and only very basic key assignments under settings".
