You can't download/install aircraft like a mod.  All aircraft created by the community have to go through 1cMaddox for review, changes and etc.  I think overall the community would rather have it this way, to insure no undefeatable or unrealistic FM planes make it into a fight.  Check http://www.il2center.com for the upcoming aircraft projects (now for FB).  All of the planes that will be in Il-2 are provided through official upgrades.  Since the announcement of IL-2 Forgotten Battles being a seperate sim (kind of like a sequel or part 2) and not an add-on/expansion pack there will be no further updates for IL-2.  Therefore, no further aircraft will be incorporated into IL-2 Sturmovik. As for text chat while in flight, It is becoming a practice for me to not even have it up.edited note:  there are numorous places to download aircraft skins however.  Just let me know if you'd like some links for them.S~Black 5... end ...

Good post Cage, that about sums it up. I do find the implications of protection against "unrealistic FM" part to be funny though. Woops, did I say that Anti Big Gun Yak comment out loud?Wacko,We use Microsoft's GameVoice for squad communication during flight and almost never use text chat anymore except for chatting with non squad members. Prior to that we used Roger Wilco which is also an excellent voice communication program. S~TX-ZenBlack 6TX Squadron CO

Right on guys! I apreciate the info and yes I would like some links to some skin sites if you dont mind. I will get gamevoice and talk  to yall while we fly if yall dont mind... I really apreciate yalls help also I feel like such a n00b but I will learn eventually...lol. I do like the fact that you cant just "make up" aircraft it narrows the cheating field a little. Awesome skins here: http://www.flugzeugwerk.net/just click on teh aircraft type on the left to view, and dont forget that the carrot/arrow at the bottom leads you to the next page if there that many skins for that variety. Also note, that most 109 variants can use the same skin, with little if any observed flaws.another site: http://ham.dogfighter.com/sturmovik/download08.htmanother: http://www.cfspilots.50megs.com/il2_main.htm (if your a sports fan, check out Jersey D's skins on this site, click skins sports etc on left under IL-2)and of course: http://il2skins.free.fr/S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 3
