How funny,
After my video card fried and I RMA'ed it I installed my backup card and this made the point that making the upgrade from a GeForce 3 Ti 200 to a Ti4600 wasn't a major improvement, at least not in light of the cost. I had a quick thought that maybe I could just get store credit or a refund for the current value of my GF4 to apply towards a GeForce FX, I called and e-mailed and tried the "can I speak with the supervisor" approach but they wouldn't do it. . . which I understood, but was bummed about. Well, as luck would have it, I just got an e-mail that says that the company no longer carries any GF4 Ti4600's, so they couldn't replace my card, and offered to refund me $347.00

So I guess I might be able to get that FX card after all. . .just gotta wait until feb. (but hey, I won't need it till then anyway!!)

So I guess after all the hell, this is a nice conclusion!

That's good news.  Now you can go which ever route you decide.  The way I last read, the FX will be between a whopping $399-$499 USD.  But that is just opinionated hearsay on the web.I too have been waiting for the FX, but think I may stick it in the next machine after the one I am currently building.  I have been looking into the Matrox with surround gaming.  Seems Forgotten Battles will be supporting it and I believe I am going to give it a whirl.Be a nice addition when my Christmas present from my parents arrive...the TrackIR.S~Black 5... end ...
