Gentlemen,

I am formally requesting we get into high gear on making new maps for the server.

Tornado has developed an interesting night mission which I intend to include in the rotation. Take a look at the new maps and put your mad mission skills to the stone to come up with some new things.

A few guidelines:

Must be at least two bases per side for balance sake incase one gets suppressed by the opposing side.

Bases must be a reasonable distance apart (look back to Crimea or Winter Bombers for a good distance) and I would like to avoid any bases being right next door to each other. While we do encourage base attack, having them too close turns it into nothing more than a vulch fest with no chance for the bombers to get airborne.

Keep the flak to a minimum...maybe 1 or 2 guns per base tops. Its deadly enough to be threatening in small amounts and greatly reduces lag the fewer there are.

I'd like to see at least:

1 Rain
1 Daylight Reduced Visibility
1 Winter
1 Night with search lights (Done, courtesy of Tornado)
2 or 3 general DF maps with interesting clouds or TOD
1 Water oriented map (Gulf of Finland or something)

I also recommend to keep the static objects to a minimum as well.

Lets try to have these up and running this week, the scripts will be adjusted accordingly.

I need suggestions for Icon settings for each map you create. The dotrange is set in the script for that mission and I would like the designer's input on recommended ranges.

Also....for those who create the maps....  How about laying the grid on top with our standard coordinate system and waypoints like we had in the old IL2 maps.  Will give us a headstart in knowing where the heck we are.  Gracias!B~TX-Rahman"BLUE 2"
