S!

I was directed here by TX-EcoDragon in regards to a problem I was having with the IL2 Script I was using.  I managed to figure out how to make that work correctly FB.  Which is great as we are putting up our new Server this weekend.  I understand TX-Kingsnake is to thanks for that little marvel of script!

I do have another question and figured you would all know as you guys are doing your own server also...  I am looking for some information/script on being able to post a real time Pilots Ladder at our Web Site from the server.  I understand that IL2 first edition had a Game Manager that did this... What about FB?  Is there something that works server side so none of the members have to worry about instaling anything?

I would appreciate any help.

Well personally we had found the IL-2 manager to be easy to , how you say, manipulate for your score, you could start your own mission with AI planes and rack up scores of thousands, then save , and in return jump way up the ladder. So in that respect I'm not so sure you would want a ladder of some sort, but good luck to you all the same . Glad we could help, (if i did ) :)S~TX-TornadoBlue 3TX Sqaudron TOB~

Yes, Tornado's points are good ones. . . but as it stands the easiest way to have a real time ladder was using the manager. Unfortunately even the ladder requires players to have that software, and to save their stats (and only when and if they want to). The ladder also does not restrict itself to only one game server. My advice is to have the host computer download a program called sturmolog (not sure if there is one for FB yet) which uses the logfiles that are generated buy the hosts game. this only records the stats of players who join your server, and it keeps all of them by session date. This way your players just join and fly normally. . but you as the host have to do all the work to tallly kills etc, but Sturmolog makes it pretty easy. Sturmolog is also good for server admins who want to verify that server rules are upheld. . if you have a clean language server you can now enforce that even when your not there looking at the monitor, as all text is saved by the logfile as well.I am sure that it wont be long before they make a version of both softwares for FBSturmolg can be found here (still the IL-2 version)http://home.arcor.de/bigwill/sturmolog/IL-2 Manager can be found here:http://www.checksix-fr.com/S! and goodluck!TX-EcoDragonBlack 3

Scripting resources can be found at http://scripts.sturmovik.de/html/index_english.htmlI plan to post our scripting in the near future. I would like to thank the GR for developing scripts and sharing their information with us.B~TX-KingsnakeWhite 1

While this is not an immediate fix, I am developing a php/sql/whateverelseineedtouse stats program with Jambock__26 that will real-time send stats from the server to a web page. This is still in very early stages, but the groundwork is already laid so development will hopefully move along a a decent pace. Of course I will be sharing this with the Tx squad and anyone else running a dedicated server.
