Look here at some screens using the wide res, for multi monitor support, using conventional dual output video cards, as well as shots with the parhelia

I know you were. . .hence my posting that.  .however to run two monitors, all you actually need is the multimonitor support that comes with either ATI or nVidia and to run at a custom res 1600x800 etc.  The third monitor is where the Matrox is needed ( know there are ways to get nView to host many more monitors . . but not sure what this entails)here is a cool screenshots page of FB running three monitors.http://www.matrox.com/mga/3d_gaming/enhanced_games/forgotten_battles.cfmS!TX-EcoDragonCurrent mount: P-39 Q10Favorite Plane: BF109-G6A/Sand a bandit on my 6Most feared/resented FB addition: LA-7Characteristic noise during dive as reported by a third party witness: GGGGRRRRRRRBBBBBRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWK!!!

hmmm. . imagine how much easier tight formation flying would be. . (TX hears the sounds of the gears in my head turning. . to calculate price of two more 21 inch trinitrons, plus matrox card. .. versus buying a projector and curved screen and running at a custom wide res)

That is using a card that can run the third monitor. . on an nvidia or ATI you can run two without issue thoughCurrent mount: P-39 Q10Favorite Plane in the sim: BF109-G6A/SFuture Favorite Plane: P-51Characteristic noise during dive as reported by a third party witness: GGGGRRRRRRRBBBBBRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWK!!!

Hmm... If you ran it with two monitors, wouldn't that put the piper in the middle, and cause some visibility issues?

Well, in X-plane and ms flight sims Ihave have used two to provide the view off of one wing, which is useful for aerobatics etc, if you look either to the right or left you always have a forward view. Certainly its not the same effect as three, but I only meant to make the point that we can dable in this stuff before jumping all out head first into a big investment.
