I'm sorry to those of you who perceived my comments (in the now deleted thread) as being negative toward Ecodragon or your squad.  My comments were certainly not intended to belittle or degrade anyone in your squad, but were meant as a constructive discussion of Eco's comments (both on Comms and on this board) regarding the overmodeling of certain planes in the sim.

As someone who's not familiar with your squad (other than Shadow, whom I've known well for many, many years) or the persons within it, you'll have to understand that my perceptions are based solely on what I've witnessed thus far.  As well, having been involved with many sims as they matured, my perspective is somewhat jaded and may come across as being a bit harsh.  It was certainly not intended as disdain for anyone in here.

Anyway, I started playing IL2 because Shadow and I wished to be able to fly the virtual skies together.  We've been close friends for many years (in fact, we lived across the street from one another for more than half the time I've known him) and he can attest to my years of passion for WW2 aerial combat. If, in sharing my experience with you folks, you feel as though I did so disrespectfully, I apologize and wish you to understand that simple text on a web page does very little to convey the sentiment with which certain thought are offered.  If, as a result of this, you would prefer that I didn't join your comms or flying on the servers, just let me know and I'll make alternate arrangements with Shadow.

Sentiment is noted, thanks. The thread was not deleted but moved so that TX members could review it, I have dissented and given the issue up to them as my mind is on other things right now, and my judgement may be less than perfect at the moment.Do remember though, that TX is here for fun of everyone who also enjoys these sims, and that we do not intend to spoil anyone elses enjoyment, or to add friction to your relationship with Shadow.S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX Squadron XO

I go away for a while and this place goes to hell in a handbasket.......j/k!I must have missed this issue so there is little that I can comment on. But...I would like to make my feelings known about sharing comms with non-TX members. For what it's worth.I for one feel that TX comms channels should ONLY be used by TX squadmates. I feel that if we are going to invite people into chats with us we need to have an ALTERNATE channel set up for that purpose. This channel can also be used for troubleshooting and general shoot the breeze sessions. But I feel that our own personal Comms channel should be just that..personal. My 2 cents. Now, for the appologies that I saw posted. Again, not being part of what ever went down all I can say is that if there was a misunderstanding..and an appology has been issued..then from my view the subject should be dead. Again, I base that on my limited or should say non-existent undersdstanding of what transpired or why. But, again..apology given and that should be the end of it.Again, that is just my 2 cents.... so I gave 4 cents and now that leaves me with a buck twenty six left.~S~BKBlack 2Blue 4Burnt Sienna 5Aquamarine 27or what ever color I am this weekPS  Did I happen to mention that my new connection totally rocks ? ...well put BK, I think the matter is closed. I mentioned to you earlier that it sure is good to hear that your connection issues are finally worked out! But...I was wondering what was going on when you were in my server this afternoon as it looked like your ping was much higher than it should have been with those up/down speeds.Might have been just a fluke caused by high afternoon traffic.....B~Rocky...TX-CUDA on UBITX-CUDA on HyperLobby

Every time that I looked at my ping I saw 80 or less. But I was seeing half of everyone  else doing the now infamous " time warp " and chasing Space Shuttles/La-7's....I just did a traceroute to yahoo and my first 7 hops were under 10 each. But a couple of guys in there were over 1900 each so....We will see again later on....~S~BK
