Reminds me, I still need to pick up my hunting license for this year.   Thanks man!(disclaimer:  I would never target a parrot or non-game bird, intentionally....)TX-Deck out.

Rah, that bird of yours is a spitting image of the one I had! Maria was 53 when I had to have her put down due to an injury that a neighborhood cat gave her. I'll have to post a pic of her..and BTW, most times she could take care of herself where cats were concerned!...just my two cents worth..Rocky...TX-CUDA on UBITX-CUDA on HyperLobby

Wow !Another side of pet ownership Im not even slightly aware of.Pretty birds , both of them. Id love to have one myself but my ears are highly sensitive though . Are they loud as all get out ? deafening to mankind ? or are they just cool to listen too. I knew a guy who had some kind of parrot , and that creature had the shrillest scream Id ever heard. Hurt my ears like hell everytime it screamed. I decided then not to get one , but I think theyre cool to have around otherwise.:-)S~Cya up there...TX-ShadowWhite 3

The Aratinga solstitialis is pretty much the most shill little screamer you have ever heard! The Ochrocephala auropalliata of Rahman's is on the otherhand more for learning little songs, and common household words. . .  often times after the sound of a phone ringing they are heard saying "Hello".But theses are just generalizations of course.BTW FlightRisk, about 14 years ago during a fire in malibu canyon an entire aviary of conures was in harms way and the birds were set free. Amazingly, at least three types have bred in the wild, and have created quite a large colony! non-native species stuff aside, I sure love seeing wild parrots flying overhead. . .kinda makes me feel like I am somewhere tropical. . instead of california!!S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX Squadron XO

Well, me too. Have you ever seen the Australian Backyard with a feeder..... If not then you should...I have....If you have not visualized 25 species of birds on a salt lick and all parrots ...then you and I should from what I read. They afterall, are the true pilots.S~TX-FlightRisk Black 3

Our family have been members of "Parrot Jungle and Gardens" for over ten years. For those of you who love parrots, going there is like a dream come true. Most of the Parrots are alowed to fly free and nest in the "rainforest" part of the park. Parrot Jungle, was my daughters favorite place to go to on weekends, we would stay there for hours on end, feeding, handling the many varieties of birds and animals. It also had a great kids play gound and petting zoo. Sadly, Parrot Jungle had to move out of it's original Miami location to it's new location on Biscayne bay. When Parrot Jungle moved, many of the so called free/fliers stayed in the local area, delighting and amusing many of the residents near by. On any given day, one could drive around the neighborhood where Parrot Jungle originaly stood, and see  Parrots of all shapes and sizes. www.parrotjungle.com
