Good to hear ya Zen! How'd you get past the turrets?

I completely agree with the position she is not worthy of a Star. That's a no-brainer. What I am troubled with is BK throwing away his history over it. Politics is a fact of life and frequently it means things happen for a perceived public good, regardless of merit. Right or wrong, politicians have a duty to make themselves and the country look good. Sometimes they miscalculate, as I think they have done here. Does this instance of farsightedness completely diminish the true heroes who have received meritous honor? I don't think so. I can separate farce from truth and recognize the majority of those who have received medals made great sacrafice to earn them and are well deserving. That still matters to me. Although I respect your views and respect your actions even more BK, I can't fathom giving up something as you have when I can only dream about doing the same. I haven't served in the military and never will, so giving up something I can never have is hard to swallow. For that, you are more of a hero to me than Prv. Lynch will ever be. Perhaps I'm a bit more materialistic, but that's why I wish you'd keep your medals--because they do still matter to me. I can only look at one with a bit of awe and wonderment. Obviously, you see something different, which I understand and have complete respect for.Seeker
