Snappy Barrel rolls after a tail slide!

Tyson Shot these using a fairly short lens on a EOS 10D, I am sure that you can imagine that wayne flew a low show!!

Ribbon touch, the next one was the cut, this pole was bending down because of the 300+ hp tug of war I was fighting.
I just thought I would send you guys some shots from this weekend, We drove Wayne's Suburban out to behind the Jumbo-Tron (BIG TV) and then walked out to the runways, on sunday we brought the International Council of Airshows photographer out to the taxiway right next to where we set up the ribbons and poles for Wayne's Ribbon Cut.
This was Wayne's Last public airshow, and was, in the airshow industry a hostoric event, I didn't want the only photos we see of it to be from the grandstands!
He makes his money with his photography, but he sent us these as a way to say thanks for helping him to get out there. I am the big red thing on the right! Next to me is Jeremy, and on the other pole is Ben.
This weekend was amazing fun, We had flightline participant wristbands of course, which meant that the entire airshow, and most of the city of salinas was open to us (free food, drinks etc when in town), I climbed on and into the Canadian Tigermeet FA-18, a Jet and Piston powered WACO Biplane of Jimmy Franklin's(like the stearman), the Pitts S2S of Jim LeRoy, The Oracle Challenger II of Sean Tucker, a German/Spanish Bf-109 and a Japanese Zero (one of two in the world), P-51 Mustangs, A-10s, a Yak 54 (only a couple out there), AT-6 Texans, and tons of GA aircraft on static display. We hungout with nearly all the airshow elite, like Sean D. Tucker (who didn't get in until after the show), Gordon Bowman-Jones, Bill Stein, Jaquie Warda, John Shockley, Jimmy Franklin and his wingwalking son, Jim LeRoy, the USAF Thunderbirds crew, the USAF F-15 Demonstration team (played pool against them and won. . hehe), The US Coast Guard Dauphin helicopter crew and pilots (both were cute girls from the Bay Area), CAF Dash 8 training platform crew and pilots. It was pretty awesome. We kept Wayne's Raven in tip top shape, moved it from its various display points, and answered tons of questions (after a while we become recognized and when I went to the outhouse I had a little entourage) , on Saturday night Wayne Invited us to Dinner which was cool, and we then went to the Elks Lodge that is next to the airport which was closed for pilots and crew of the show only, and went and played some pool and did a little of the bar scene. . . and in walks the lovely HH-65A Pilot Veronica. . . it was like in top gun when goose and mav. . oh well. . nevermind. . lol.
If you want to see any more of Tyson's Pics here is the link.
