That's not making me feel "warm and fuzzy" about hardware necessary.
IL2 did not require a gaming rig in the beginning and reached a high level of participation for a flight sim. FSX & Blackshark required gaming rigs so you couldn't just pick it up off the shelf. Often it required a visit to another store to meet hardware requirements. But you guys have been in it for so long that your concerns are not about a level of participation as much as it is about a return on investment. Imagine if we were driving, Gunny would pass by in a lifted suspension, monster truck wheels,long horns on the front and a Texas flag. What I am eluding to is that I suspect this long development period must have some older techniques in the product and might run really well. It could run faster with older technology because the newer machines can handle it faster. Or so I am guessing because we have had a long time to speculate. Newer operating systems and newer programs take up more overhead in the background so its not always a scaled level of performance at each upgrade.
